Unit 06 / Ocean Front, Ground Floor

We had a wonderful time at Christopher Columbus last week. The unit was very clean and perfectly located. The pool and beach were both perfect. Overall, could not have been happier with our stay!

We have visited CC multiple times - never disappointed

Unit #6 was absolutely perfect for our needs.Light and bright; plenty of seating; comfortable beds. We were just steps from the pool and the beach. Management accommodated our request for a group dinner in the gazebo on night, and recommended a fabulous personal chef (shout out to ) Housekeeping was delightful and kept the unit clean and inviting. We'll be back next year, for sure!

We've stayed at the Christopher Columbus condos more than 10 times over the past 25 years, most recently January 2024. We've stayed in several of the ocean front ground floor units. They are all in great condition. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. CC's location is special. It's north of most of the big condo developments that have been built along seven mile beach so you can avoid the crowds. It's close to good snorkeling sites such as Cemetery Reef and Turtle Reef and close to our favorite restaurant, Macabuca, which is located at Turtle Reef. Good beer, good drinks, good food and an excellent snorkeling/diving site. CC is the perfect location for a family vacation on the Caymans.

The visit this year was just as enjoyable as the past many years, and glad to be back as last time was august 2019. Christopher Columbus is a great place to visit as all the people there who help and support the visit are great. The close connection to the ocean is wonderful and condo 6 has been the place for my family since the 80's. Thank you everyone and best wishes for the rest of the year.

We had a wonderful time In Grand Cayman and loved our stay at Christopher Columbus.

This is our 4th time staying at CCC (been coming to Cayman since 09’). After staying at different places in the past we cannot imagine being anywhere else but CCC. We’ve even stayed at the complexes on either side of CCC, still we will remain at CCC.

Far as unit 6 goes, this is the second time we’ve stayed in 6 & when we come back we will book it again. My family love it & my kids are now so used to it. After just staying 2 weeks in it, it truly feels like a second home to us. Not just because of the unit itself but the people there (everyone) & of course what’s in the backyard ;)

Unit 6 gave us no major issues, only a couple of items i’d like to comment on for the owner; The stove could use replacing. It’s old & one of the burners doesn’t operate correctly. Not a huge deal, we made it work. Next, there seems to be some sort of odd wiring in the electrical. If you cut a light switch in one of the bedrooms on/off, it would trigger the lights in the bedroom that has two twins to go on/off. Again minor inconvenience but worth noting. Since we were there for so long we likely noticed things others may not, for example we cooked several meals at the condo & one thing we noticed was all the knifes seemed dull & nothing around to sharpen them. Again not a huge deal but worth noting. My only other suggestion would be to perhaps provide a Keurig & maybe even a crockpot for those who do have long stays & try to eat more at the condo. Not a huge deal though. We did have to go buy coffee filters and ground coffee so the k-cups I brought in my luggage couldn’t be used. Most of the time it’s just me drinking 1-2 cups of coffee so making an entire thing of coffee just took longer and often wasteful. Not a huge deal & I’ll perhaps even consider this a “first world problem” :)

This was my families 4th time staying at CC condos,and we loved it just as much as the 1st time. The grounds are spectacular, the room juts right and the staff is great!!! We just love the island and all it has to offer. Already talking about next year's trip!! Can't wait to return to paradise. Thanks from the Carr Family
